Experts predict the price increase on a cardboard in Europe 02 - 08 - 2010 Presently among all companies, producing the different types of cardboard, only the producers of Kraftliner raise prices for the European market since September of current year. Thus, during spring and summer of current year "Kraft" has already endured minimum two risings in price at the rate of about 50 EURO per ton. For example, the price increase was announced by Smurfit Kappa Group, Korsnäs, etc.
In economists’ opinion, probably, by the end of the year the producers of other types of cardboard will act like their colleagues following the improvement of market demand and in expectation of the production cost raise of their goods. Experts consider that for a long time cardboard was saving a stable low cost - only at the beginning of 2010 because of Finnish dockers’ strikes and earthquake in Chile the small rising in price has happened.
Anyway, it is supposed to expect the price increase on cardboard at the end of the third quarter of current year.
Thus specialists predict the deficit of cardboard in Europe because of its insufficient supplies, fictitious production development which the optimists thought out and proceeding extinction of work not only of the separate КДМ, but the whole plants.
